Creating an Event

How to create a special event and track data from it

Updated today

Events are anything that you would like to track that is not tied to a weekend. These could be used for special events or services (like Easter and Christmas), weekday services, conferences, Bible studies, and more.

  1. From the profile dropdown in the top right corner, select Admin. Then click Events in the left hand navigation.

  2. Click Create Event.

  3. Name your Event and click Save.

  4. Now that you've created the Event itself, you'll next need to add specific Event Service Times for the Event. Note that even if a regular service time already exists in this slot, you'll need to create new Event Services Times that are specifically for the Event.

For example: If you have a Friday service plus your regular Saturday and Sunday services for "Easter 2024" you will want to create a new Event Service Time for Friday as well as for your normal Saturday and Sunday services.

  5. To create Event Service Times, select Service Times from the left hand navigation and then click the Event Service Times tab.

  6. You will create a service time like you normally do selecting the proper Campus, Day of Week, etc. The main difference will be assigning an Event to the Service Time. You do this by selecting your Event from the "Event" drop down.

  7. Once you complete this, additional options will be made available. First, select the appropriate Start and End dates. This can be a single day for a one-day event, or a longer window for a recurring event.

  8. Also, if the service is part of your normal weekend schedule, you will want to make sure to check the Include in regular reports? checkbox. This will ensure that this service time will show up on your dashboard, reports, and charts as part of the regular weekend. If left unchecked, it will remain as a standalone event and will not be included in reports.

Note: Make sure to check this box immediately when you create the Event if you'd like the data to be included in regular reports. If you input data for the Event Service Time and then change your mind later and check the box, it will not work- you'll need to follow the steps in this article to make changes.
